In their next game, the Panthers play the Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 18. Bruton will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 38-0 non-league loss to Essex (Tappahannock, VA).

The Pointers (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Westmoreland (Montross, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Westmoreland crushed Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA), 46-0, in a non-league contest.
