With the win, Watauga improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Pioneers travel to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Monday, September 16. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 1-8. Alexander Central lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC)

The Spartans now own a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom for a non-league battle on Monday, September 16. South Caldwell will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-8.
