The Armuchee Indians overwhelmed the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders softball squad by a count of 15-8 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 7 challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Armuchee will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Rebels go into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 16-1 league win over Gordon Central (Calhoun, GA).

The Raiders (1-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Hiram (Hiram, GA). The Hornets go into the 4A Region 7 challenge with a 2-13 record. In their last challenge, Hiram was routed by Cartersville (Cartersville, GA), 8-0, in a league challenge.
