North Carolina High School Volleyball - Ashe County over Alexander Central

The Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) volleyball knocked off the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 3-0 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Huskies now possess a 11-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hibriten for a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Monday, September 16. Ashe County will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 8-4.

With the loss, Alexander Central drops to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Watauga (Boone, NC) to clash with the Pioneers in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Monday, September 16. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 4-6. Watauga won 3-0 in their recent league bout against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
