In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Herscher Tigers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers.

The Tigers (2-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL). The Comets come into the Illinois Central Eight challenge with a 0-7 record. In their last challenge, Reed-Custer was beaten by Manteno (Manteno, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Momence Momence Athletics (Momence, IL) in a River Valley challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Gardner-South Wilmington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Momence Athletics come into the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL).
