The Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) football knocked off the host Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX), 28-13 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Knights now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ridge Point for a 6A Region III District 21 outing on Saturday, September 20. Fort Bend Elkins will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 31-3 non-league win over Bridgeland (Cypress, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 3-0.

With the defeat, Alief Hastings drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Bellaire (Bellaire, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 18. The Cardinals enter the contest with a record of 2-1. Bellaire won 42-14 in their recent non-league contest against Pasadena (Pasadena, TX)
