    Clear Falls Knights (League City, TX) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team nip the host Cypress Falls Eagles (Houston, TX), 51-44 in a non-league match.

    The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Deer Park (Deer Park, TX). The Deer enter the 6A Region III District 24 match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Deer Park got by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 37-36, in a non-league match.

    Coming up next, the Eagles confront the Memorial Mustangs (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 17 battle, on Friday, September 26. Cypress Falls will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Mustangs go into the battle with a 2-1 record after their 21-20 non-league win over Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX).
