    Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Talladega Tigers (Talladega, AL), 22-8 in a league battle.

    With the win, Cleburne County advances its record to 1-2 on the season. The Tigers host Booker T. Washington (Tuskegee, AL) to play the Golden Eagles in a 4A Region 3 battle on Friday, September 19. The Golden Eagles come into the match with a record of 2-1. Booker T. Washington won 17-14 in their recent league match against Tallassee (Tallassee, AL)

    Coming up next, the Tigers confront the Saint James Trojans (Montgomery, AL) in a 4A Region 3 match, on Friday, September 19. Talladega will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Trojans come into the match with a 0-4 record after their 42-0 league loss to Handley (Roanoke, AL).
