Texas High School Football - Shamrock defeated by Vega

The Vega Longhorns were winner over the host Shamrock Irish football squad by a margin of 35-14 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Longhorns now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Sudan for a non-league test on Friday, September 19. Vega will clash with a Hornets squad coming off a 55-13 non-league loss to Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-1.

With the defeat, Shamrock drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Irish host Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX) to face the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, September 19. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 2-1. Sanford-Fritch lost 63-46 in their recent non-league outing against Tulia (Tulia, TX)
