In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Castro Valley Trojans football squad scored a good 14-6 triumph over the California Grizzlies.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA). The Chargers come into the non-league match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Wilcox was beaten by Hollister (Hollister, CA), 49-0, in a non-league battle.
The Grizzlies now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Menlo-Atherton for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. California will play a Bears team coming off a 27-7 non-league loss to Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA). The Bears record now stands at 1-2.
