In their next game, the Thunderbirds face the Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Kennedy will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Falcons go into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 22-6 league win over Stockdale (Bakersfield, CA).

With the defeat, Monache drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Marauders travel to El Diamante (Visalia, CA) to meet the Miners in a test on Thursday, October 2. The Miners come into the test with a record of 3-1.
