Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting McLean Highlanders (McLean, VA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Generals (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, George C. Marshall was nudged by Yorktown (Arlington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders meet the Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 15. McLean will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Fighting Owls go into the test with a 0-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Oakton (Vienna, VA).
