The Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) football knocked off the visiting Fike Golden Demons (Wilson, NC), 27-6 in Thursday's non-league outing.
The Screaming Eagle now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Topsail for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 18. Ashley will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 16-14 non-league loss to Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-2.
The Golden Demons (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Rocky Mount (Rocky Mount, NC). The Gryphons enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Rocky Mount gained a win over Vance County (Henderson, NC), 46-0, in a non-league contest.
