East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC), 28-22 in a non-league battle.

With the win, East Surry improves its record to 1-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to North Forsyth (Winston-Salem, NC) to meet the Vikings in a non-league test on Thursday, September 18. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 0-2. North Forsyth lost 30-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkland (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Wolfpack (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Reidsville (Reidsville, NC). The Rams go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Reidsville nipped Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC), 44-41, in a non-league challenge.
