New York High School Football - Valley Central nips Roosevelt

The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Valley Central Vikings (Montgomery, NY) and the visiting Roosevelt Cougars (Brooklyn, NY), saw Valley Central's football team nip Roosevelt by a final score of 25-18.

With the win, Valley Central advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Vikings host Monroe-Woodbury (Central Valley, NY) to encounter the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 27. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Cougars now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Washingtonville for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 18. Roosevelt will battle a Wizards squad coming off a 27-12 non-league loss to Beacon (Beacon, NY). The Wizards record now stands at 0-2.
