Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), 22-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Shelby improves its record to 2-2 on the season. The Golden Lions travel to Burns (Lawndale, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Thursday, September 18. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 1-2. Burns won 28-13 in their recent non-league match against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC)
