Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) and the host Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA), observed Lynden's volleyball team top Squalicum by a tally of 3-0.

The Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Meridian (Bellingham, WA). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Meridian was defeated by Ferndale (Ferndale, WA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Storm now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sehome for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Squalicum will meet a Mariners team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Mt. Baker (Deming, WA). The Mariners record now stands at 1-0.
