Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting South Pike Eagles (Magnolia, MS), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Gators come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Gautier beat Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 16. South Pike will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
