In Thursday's non-league outing, the host University Heights Blazers soccer squad scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Calloway County Lakers.
The Blazers (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Campbell (Fort Campbell, KY). The Falcons go into the District 8 outing with a 3-5 record. In their last outing, Fort Campbell got by Graves County (Mayfield, KY), 3-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Lakers confront the Murray Tigers (Murray, KY) in a District 2 test, on Monday, September 15. Calloway County will attempt to advance on its 7-4 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 9-0 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Bardstown (Bardstown, KY).
