In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Cathedral Fighting Irish soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Center Grove Trojans.
The Fighting Irish (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against St. Xavier (Louisville, KY). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 12-0 record. In their last outing, St. Xavier got by Kentucky Country Day (Louisville, KY), 6-0, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now sport a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Perry Meridian for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 16. Center Grove will confront a Falcons squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Falcons record now stands at 4-3.
