The Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) soccer overwhelmed the host Serena Huskers (Serena, IL), 6-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

The Coalers now hold a 9-0 record. They play next when they host Reed-Custer for a Illinois Central Eight challenge on Tuesday, September 16. Coal City will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Comets record now stands at 3-5.
