Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the host Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), 6-0 in a non-league outing.

The Vikings (4-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL). The Knights go into the non-league outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Lincoln-Way Central got by Andrew (Tinley Park, IL), 2-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Golden Warriors play the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 13. Sterling will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Boilermakers go into the outing with a 2-6 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Alleman (Rock Island, IL).
