Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL), 4-1 in a league outing.

The Hiltoppers (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals go into the South Central outing with a 0-5 record.

The Bulldogs now have a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mater Dei for a non-league test on Monday, September 15. Staunton will clash with a Knights team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Roxana (Roxana, IL). The Knights record now stands at 4-3.
