The Wellsboro Hornets (Wellsboro, PA) soccer nipped the visiting Troy Trojans (Troy, PA), 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

The Hornets now hold a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Towanda for a PIAA District IV-AA challenge on Saturday, September 13. Wellsboro will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 7-0 league loss to Northeast Bradford (Rome, PA). The Black Knights record now stands at 2-5.

The Trojans (1-8) will now prepare for their contest against Williamson (Tioga, PA). The Warriors enter the PIAA District IV-AA contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, Williamson nipped Galeton (Galeton, PA), 6-1, in a league match.
