Nebraska High School Softball - Aquinas sneaks past Guardian Angels Central Catholic

In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Aquinas Monarchs softball team scored a tight 5-4 win over the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays.

The Monarchs (5-10) will now prepare for their match against Fort Calhoun (Fort Calhoun, NE). The Pioneers enter the non-league game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Fort Calhoun was edged by Douglas County West (Valley, NE), 14-13, in a league game.

The Bluejays now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they host NEN for a non-league game on Monday, September 15. Guardian Angels Central Catholic will play a squad coming off a 17-6 non-league win over Pierce (Pierce, NE). The record now stands at 9-3.
