Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Woodward-Granger Hawks (Woodward, IA) and the visiting Creston Panthers (Creston, IA), observed Woodward-Granger's volleyball team hold off Creston by a count of 2-1.

The Hawks (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Pella Christian tipped Newton (Newton, IA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denison-Schleswig for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18.
