Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Chiefs (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Rockets enter the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Limestone beat East Peoria (East Peoria, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Turks meet the Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Tremont will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, IL).
