In Thursday's league challenge, the host Whitefield Academy Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Fern Creek Tigers.
The Wildcats (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Spencer County (Taylorsville, KY). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Spencer County beat Collins (Shelbyville, KY), 3-0, in a league test.
The Tigers now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bullitt East for a District 24 test on Monday, September 15. Fern Creek will face a Chargers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to LaFayette (LaFayette, GA). The Chargers record now stands at 9-6.
