Fans at Thursday's league contest between the McKinley Tech Trainers (Washington, DC) and the host Woodson Warriors (Washington, DC), observed McKinley Tech's volleyball team top Woodson by a count of 2-0.

The Trainers (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against MacArthur (Washington, DC). The Mammoths enter the DCIAA contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, MacArthur notched a victory over Ballou (Washington, DC), 2-0, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors encounter the Bard Falcons (Washington, DC) in a DCIAA battle, on Tuesday, September 16. Woodson will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Falcons go into the battle with a 0-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Eastern (Washington, DC).
