The Mercer County Golden Eagles volleyball squad (Aledo, IL), dropped 2-0 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Stark County Rebels (Toulon, IL)

With the win, Stark County improves its record to 1-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to Midland (Varna, IL) to encounter the Timberwolves in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 13. The Timberwolves go into the battle with a record of 10-1. Midland lost 2-1 in their recent league battle against Seneca (Seneca, IL)

The Golden Eagles now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] for a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. Mercer County will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Quad Cities Christian (Moline, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 1-9.
