Wisconsin High School Volleyball - South Shore edged by Mercer

Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Mercer Tigers (Mercer, WI) and the host South Shore Cardinals (Port Wing, WI), observed Mercer's volleyball team hold off South Shore by a tally of 3-2.

The Tigers (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Castle Guards enter the Indianhead - East contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Washburn was tipped by Mellen (Mellen, WI), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cardinals encounter the Solon Springs Eagles (Solon Springs, WI) in a Indianhead - East test, on Monday, September 15. South Shore will attempt to improve on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 5-1 record after their 3-2 league win over Bayfield (Bayfield, WI).
