Georgia High School Volleyball - Southeast Whitfield County can't hold off Murray County

September 11, 2025: Dalton, GA 30721

In Thursday's non-league match, the Murray County Indians (Chatsworth, GA) volleyball squad tipped the host Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA), by a count of 2-1.

The Indians now possess a 10-12 record. They play next when they travel to North Cobb Christian for a 2A Area 7 bout on Tuesday, September 16. Murray County will battle a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ringgold (Ringgold, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 13-12.

Next, the Raiders battle the Cartersville Hurricanes (Cartersville, GA) in a 4A Area 7 contest, on Tuesday, September 16. Southeast Whitfield County will attempt to move on its 7-14 season record. The Hurricanes enter the contest with a 24-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Bremen (Bremen, GA).
