In Monday's non-league battle, the host Marshall Hilltoppers soccer squad scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Mesabi East Giants.
The Hilltoppers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Esko (Esko, MN). The Eskomos come into the non-league battle with a 3-1 record.
The Giants (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Proctor (Proctor, MN). The Rails come into the Class A Section 7 battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Proctor was overwhelmed by Esko (Esko, MN), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
