Berthoud Spartans (Berthoud, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO), 14-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Eaton for a challenge on Tuesday, September 20.

With the loss, Frederick falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Niwot (Niwot, CO) to face the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 17. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Niwot lost 17-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Roosevelt (Johnstown, CO)
