In Monday's non-league contest, the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) volleyball squad were winner over the host Caverna Colonels (Horse Cave, KY), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Monroe County Falcons (Tompkinsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 13. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 3-8 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY).

With the loss, Caverna moves to 0-1 on the year.
