Malcolm Clippers (Malcolm, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays (Ashland, NE), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Clippers now own a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seward for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 13. Malcolm will face a Bluejays squad coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Hastings (Hastings, NE). The Bluejays record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Ashland-Greenwood falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Yutan-Mead (Yutan, NE) to face the Patriots in a Capitol challenge on Tuesday, September 13. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 11-1. Yutan-Mead won 7-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Cass (Louisville, NE)
