Riverwood Raiders (Atlanta, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Paulding County Patriots (Dallas, GA), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now sport a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeside for a 6A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, September 13. Riverwood will face a Vikings squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Dunwoody (Dunwoody, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Paulding County falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA) to face the Panthers in a 6A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 13. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-13. Langston Hughes lost 16-0 in their recent league challenge against South Paulding (Douglasville, GA)
