The HOPE Academy Royals volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Cabarrus Charter Huskies to 1 in the Royals non-league victory on Monday.

The Royals now possess a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carolina Christian for a game on Tuesday, September 13. HOPE Academy will meet a Lions team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Arborbrook Christian Academy (Matthews, NC). The Lions record now stands at 2-6.

The Huskies (1-6) will now prepare for their game against Sugar Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats enter the Metro Eight 1A game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Sugar Creek was dropped by Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
