In Tuesday's league battle, the host Girard Yellowjackets soccer squad scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Maplewood Tigers.
The Yellowjackets (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA). The Lakers come into the District 10 Region 3 battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Mercyhurst Prep was overwhelmed by Seneca (Erie, PA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Tigers (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Eisenhower (Russell, PA). The Knights come into the District 10 Region 3 battle with a 0-1 record.
