The Lecanto Panthers held off the visiting Springstead Eagles volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Panthers now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crystal River for a non-league test on Thursday, September 14. Lecanto will confront a Pirates team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over North Marion (Citra, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 5-2.
The Eagles (2-9) will now prepare for their test against River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL). The Royal Knights enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, River Ridge was nudged by Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL), 2-1, in a non-league test.
