Next, the Firebirds confront the Sidney Yellowjackets (Sidney, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 16. Fairmont will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 3-0 league win over West Carrollton (West Carrollton, OH).

The Wildcats now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wayne for a Greater Western Ohio challenge on Thursday, September 14. Springfield will confront a Warriors team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Springboro (Springboro, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
