Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Druid Hills Red Devils (Atlanta, GA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chamblee for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 16.

With the loss, Druid Hills falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA) to battle the Pirates in a 4A Region 6 challenge on Wednesday, September 13. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Stone Mountain won 20-12 in their recent league challenge against Clarkston (Clarkston, GA)
