Lutheran South Lancers (St. Louis, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fort Zumwalt North Panthers (O'Fallon, MO), 6-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Lancers now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parkway South for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 13. Lutheran South will face a Patriots squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Eureka (Eureka, MO). The Patriots record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Fort Zumwalt North falls to 0-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Liberty (Lake St. Louis, MO) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 14. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Liberty won 14-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, MO)
