The North Andrew Cardinals (Rosendale, MO) softball nipped the host Stanberry Bulldogs (Stanberry, MO), 8-7 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Cardinals (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against North Harrison (Eagleville, MO). The Shamrocks go into the non-league bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, North Harrison was edged by Princeton (Princeton, MO), 10-0, in a league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to King City for a Class 1 District 16 bout on Thursday, September 14. Stanberry will confront a Wildkats squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over East Buchanan (Gower, MO). The Wildkats record now stands at 3-4.
