South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richmond Hill Wildcats (Richmond Hill, GA), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they host Brunswick for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, September 19.
With the loss, Richmond Hill falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA) to face the Redskins in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 13. The Redskins enter the challenge with a record of 9-5. Bryan County won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Metter (Metter, GA)
