In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Aitkin Gobblers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Denfeld Hunters.

The Gobblers (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Detroit Lakes (Detroit Lakes, MN). The Lakers come into the Mid-State battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Detroit Lakes lost by Pequot Lakes (Pequot Lakes, MN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Hunters clash with the Superior Spartans (Superior, WI) in a Lake Superior battle, on Thursday, September 14. Denfeld will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Spartans come into the battle with a 9-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Eau Claire North (Eau Claire, WI).
