The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs held off the host Mekeel Christian Academy Lions volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bulldogs now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville for a test on Thursday, September 14. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will confront a Wolves team coming off a 3-1 league win over Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY). The Wolves record now stands at 3-2.

The Lions (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons (Schenectady, NY). The Golden Knights enter the Section 2 Western - Northern test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons held off La Salle Institute (Troy, NY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
