In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Burke County Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Dublin Fighting Irish.
The Bears (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against New Hampstead (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix come into the 4A Area 3 battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, New Hampstead went down by Brunswick (Brunswick, GA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Fighting Irish encounter the Crawford County Eagles (Roberta, GA) in a 1A Area 2 battle, on Thursday, September 14. Dublin will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 6-13 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Peach County (Fort Valley, GA).
