In Tuesday's league battle, the host Fieldcrest Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons.

The Knights (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Flanagan-Cornell (Flanagan, IL). The Falcons come into the Heart of Illinois battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Flanagan-Cornell achieved victory over Dwight (Dwight, IL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Falcons clash with the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) in a Heart of Illinois battle, on Thursday, September 14. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Hornets come into the battle with a 8-3 record after their 2-1 league loss to Heyworth (Heyworth, IL).
