The Highlands Highlanders volleyball team (Highlands, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge with the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC)

The Maroon Devils (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Nantahala (Topton, NC). The Hawks enter the non-league challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Nantahala was dropped by Cherokee (Cherokee, NC), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders encounter the Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 14. Highlands will attempt to move on its 2-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA).
